Becoming Healthier: Making Better Choices in Life

Have you every tried getting on that healthy habit road fall off the bandwagon time and time again? Trust me I know how you feel. For the past several years, I have tried to become a healthier person. I would achieve this by making better food choices and by trying to exercise a couple times a week. This blog post isn’t to tell you how to do it. This blog post is me being honest and trying to have a little bit of a public accountability. Starting this week I am hoping to get back on the healthy lifestyle train again!

Yes, I am fine with the way I look but I also make horrible food and activity decisions. And it is because I am always working. Or always making excuses of why I can’t stay on the healthy habits/lifestyle train. To be honest with you, I have lost plenty of weight twice: my senior year of high school and my sophomore year of college. Other than those two years y battle with staying on a healthy lifestyle road. So within in this post are going to be some ways I will track my road to a complete healthy lifestyle.

My Steps to a Health Lifestyle

Keep a Healthy lifestyle journal

This will be a way for me write down the food I am eating. I will also write down how much water and what exercise I accomplished for the day, even if I go for a walk. Within this journal will be how I felt each day while going through this journey.

Start a Healthy Lifestyle Group

This means that I will find friends who are wanting to try to do the same thing. And try to keep each other accountable. when you have people to support you it makes it easier to do the goal. It is also easier when you have positive people to support your goal

Start Slowly

This step is to make sure one doesn’t work to fast or try to loose weight too fast, that can be unhealthy. Having small goals and longterm goals while on the journey is important.

Eat more fruits and Vegetables

One of the goals/steps on this road is to eat more healthier foods like fruits and vegetables. This is sometimes hard for me because of how picky of an eater I am. But the important thing is that I can at least eat the fruits and vegetables that I do find tasty.

Making A Workout Schedule

This step is to keep a strict workout schedule to help move the process of the journey along. In the past, I winged it whenever I worked out, I never use to plan ahead or even looked up different types of work outs.

Conclusion

Becoming a healthier person has always been a goal of mine. My own stubbornist has kept me from achieving that goal. I plan to achieve this goal within the next year and to finally live a healthy lifestyle. What is something holding you back from achieving a certain goal? Also, if you have any other healthy lifestyle tips for me comment below. I would love to get more tips to help out on this journey.
