Top 3 Favorite Bible Stories

Hey everyone! It has been a while since the last time I wrote a blog post. I got out of school for the summer at the beginning of May. I then got a job back at my old stomping grounds, Chick-Fil-A, for the summer and have been working non-stop. Honestly, this summer has been a lot busier than other summers. I hope every single one of you are having a great summer so far.

Since today is Sunday, I want to talk about my top 3 favorite stories found in the Bible. Right now at church, my dad is speaking on stories in the Bible. Last week was Noah and today was Joseph, but here is a look at some of my favorite Bible stories. Hopefully it will inspire ya’ll to go read these stories.

Top 3 Favorite Bible Stories

1. Esther

The story of Esther is my top favorite because of the message that it gives. The king in this story is in the process of finding a new queen. All women within the kingdom were sent to basically audition be the kings new queen. Esther chosen and basically has to save her people, the Jews, from a man named Haman. This story involves trust and courage. In the end, Esther does save her people.

My favorite verse from this story is:

“Don’t think that just because you live in the king’s house you’re the one Jew who will get out of this alive. If you persist in staying silent at a time like this, help and deliverance will arrive for the Jew from someplace else; but you and your family will be wiped out. Who knows? Maybe you were made queen for just such a time as this.” – Esther 4:13-14

2. The Nativity

The birth of Jesus is the my second favorite Bible story. This story involves a girl named, Mary, who is engaged to be married to man named, Joseph. During this story, an angel appears to Mary telling her she has been chosen is to carry God’s son. This whole story is about trusting and having faith in God. This story also gives look at how God’s love is. This story is told a lot around the Christmas time. Many churches put on plays or do musical presentations to talk about this story.

My favorite verse from this story is:

“…Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David…He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to a son….” Luke 2:4-7

The verse above is just the beginning of the whole story. The story has many other verses that are important as well.

3. Moses

Moses is the my third favorite Bible story. This story is a long one but the important part is that Moses obeyed God and delivered the Jews out of Egypt. From beginning to end, the story of Moses is a captivating and interesting. It is story about trusting God and does some great leadership advice in the second half of the story. There have been several different movies to try represent this story. My favorite is DreamWorks Prince of Egypt.

My favorite verse from this story is:

“But Moses said to God, ‘Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?’ And God said, ‘I will be with you.’ Moses said to God, ‘Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?’ God said to Moses, ‘ I am who I am…’,” -Exodus 3:11-14

Conclusion

The stories are just some of the stories in the Bible that I love. All of these stories show God’s love, grace and mercy. All three of these stories also include being obedient and courageous at times. I encourage you to try to read all of these stories.
