Ultimate Guide To Surviving Freshman Year

Freshman year of college is a new beginning that comes with a lot of growing up. It involves trying to find yourself and learning to be a young adult. The first year of college can be seen as one of the hardest years. One must learn to be on their own for the first time. One must learn how to plan their time they have well.

In this blog post, I want to give freshman tips about the first year of college. These tips will range from lifestyle to school tips.

Ultimate Guide To Surviving Freshman Year

Show Up To Class

This is probably one the of the most important things that I could advise you to do. Don’t skip class. School is why your are at the university you are at in the first place. Make sure to keep your academics above anything else you do while on campus.

Parking

Parking is probably the second most important thing that I could advise you on. Most universities have parking issues. For that reason, the people are able to park in most of the spots are either upper-class men or commuters. So whatever you do, only park your car in the spots designated for the your dorm. It will save you some money in the long run.

Dorm Life

Take advantage of living in a dorm while you can. Spend time with your suite mates and roommate. Before you know it, you will be a senior in a college, wondering where did the time go.

Also, take advantage of being in a building of girls who also are new to this whole college thing. You could find someone you had no idea you needed in your life.

Clubs

The one thing I wish I would have done is getting involved in more clubs than I did. Don’t waste your time at college and find a club that fits your personality. Most of the time colleges have a variety of clubs that one can participate in.

Plan

Stay organized throughout your whole college experience. Keep up with assignments by keeping a planner. Stay organized with your dorm room and other areas of life as well. Learn to balance all of these things well during the college years.

Find Some Alone Time

The best thing I could tell you do is to always find sometime to be alone. Spend some time recovering all the socialization by doing something you love to do.

Call Home

Always make it a point to every once in a while call home. Your parents may want to hear how your year is going. Calling home or who ever is important to you may be good thing in the long run. It may help with any situation you may face during the college years.

Conclusion

The tips above are just some of the tips that I could offer college freshman. Make the best years out your college experience. Learn to love every second of it. Lastly, I hope all college students have a great school year.
